=// As much as I would like to think on the bright side, it's inevitable to be feeling depressed as well.

My admission is d-e-n-i-e-d for all 3 unis. This time, in the constant hope of seeing some good news in the application status enquiry of NUS, the 1 word that I do not really want to see it appear was right there on the screen, leading to my great great dismay.
'Your current status is Admission denied.' The second word in bold? Yes, that's the word.

My A Level grades were a big improvement from my grades in school but on national level, it is extremely borderline grades. Wth.

Hence now, I have not much choice, or rather no choice, but to be a good girl and get down to studying again soon because I'm officially going to re-take my A Levels.

The positive side?
- This will be a retake, therefore I would know my stuff better?
- This is the dragon year batch hence the super tight competition to get a place in the unis this year. The competition next year would definitely be less tight (I HOPE), hence the higher chance of getting myself a place in one of the 3 unis?
- Able to work again after A levels = more $ to be earned?

TODAY, I shouldn't have gone to work out of pure responsibility when I am unwell and bothered to pull myself out of bed and to work. Body was aching from the moment I woke up till in the office.

Surprisingly, You showed the Kiasu side of yourself, to my slight disgust. I haven't even confirmed with you and didn't even get a chance to when you just happily picked up your phone and called your friend to offer them. before confirming if anyone else in the office wants them? What you portrayed just now was plain kiasu-ness.

And the other You, sometimes you're nice but sometimes you're just overbearing and extremely unpleasant. The flat, slightly loud "NO." from you just now was another surprise for me.

Sighs, the ugly side of one. Anyway, the main reason being I'm feeling very unwell, after I ensured I finished what I ought to do every morning, I went back home. Went to the clinic opposite my house just before I came home as the body ache I'm experiencing is just an urgent call to see a doctor rather than to self-medicate at home. I'm having slight fever, body ache, flu + running nose and slight throat pain.

It's extremely untimely to be falling sick today. Because of my sickness, I'm unable to watch Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End with my colleagues. Nevermind, I'll watch it with my second sis and her boyfriend.

On a positive note, the GREAT SINGAPORE SALE has started! (:
P.S. But I have a financial budget! HOW? ):

I swear, the dream I had yesterday felt so real it struck me hard when I awoke to reality. I even dazed for a few seconds thinking, "It was a dream? But it felt so real. :(" I remember what the dream is about till now. I felt so happy in the dream but so sad in reality. Why so sad in reality? Because it was only a dream I can wish for. All I can say is, please let it happen to me. Then I would stop fretting over it.

Some people have the luck, some people don't.
Some people are blessed, some are not.

Across the roads,
into the ocean.
I glance across,
it's a wide horizon.
The different shades of blue,
look all so beautiful.
How alluring,
if life is as beautiful.

Holland Village is a nice place to chill out during a weekend. Went there for lunch with my 2 sisters today and spent a whole afternoon there. All I can say is that I felt like a pig with them during the whole afternoon where we ate from almost stop to stop. I do love eating but today was really a eat-along-the-way kind of thing. Firstly, we went to Crystal Jade for a little dim sum to satisfy my second sister's craving which she have had for weeks. So we ordered a basket of Char Siew Bun, Siew Mai, a kind of tofu and prawn dumpling (har gao). After satisfying my second sis's cravings, we headed to Hog's Breath Cafe (HBC) for a proper lunch meal. One of my sis had a UOB card 1-for-1 offer for HBC. So we ordered two sets of prime ribs (different flavors). Each set was pricey (approx. $32.50 - $35/36 ), but for 1-for-1, it was worth it. The mashed potato was yummy and the salad was fresh. I liked the salad sauce a lot. The prime ribs were also good.

Their plan was to head to Essential Brew next for tea-infused drinks and to play a card game my eldest sis brought along. But after the filling lunch, we first went to Chip Bee Garden across the road to walk along the stretch of shops to allow the food to digest. I ended up getting a sinful chocolate muffin from a bakery cum dessert shop, which looked extremely yummy. The cakes and other kinds of dessert were generally expensive but the muffin was alright. Hence we bought it to try. It was indeed very good!

We then headed to the Holland V shopping centre above the Cold Storage to walk around. Eldest sis bought a headband. Second sis and I didn't manage to get anything. I saw a very nice skirt from this Angie's Handmade Shop which cost $32.50. :( It looked really pretty.

Next, we headed to Essential Brew for the drinks and card game. Also ordered an apple crumble with green tea ice-cream. Nice! Enough of eating? Nope. At the end of the game session, my 2 sisters got greedy and were deciding between xiao long bao from Crystal Jade or Katong laksa at one of the coffeeshops. They decided on Katong laksa. Followed them to satisfy their cravings. Just had one mouth of the laksa as I was already feeling very full.

After the whole afternoon of eating and chilling out, we all went home.

Holland V has so many places to eat at!

Will be watching Spiderman 3 with them on coming Wednesday. Can't wait to catch it.

Another week of work! >.<

And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times
It's you, it's you, you make me sing.
You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.
